I have over 14 years of hands-on experience combining technology and business as a developer, head of development, consultant and CTO/E-commerce director and company founder. My strong technical background, combined with a degree incorporating communications and social sciences means that I can coordinate and communicate process to both technical and business focused team members and clients.

 

As an E-commerce specialist I concentrate on improving business systems using agile, user focussed, iterative development. As a technical team leader I focus on empowering my teams to contribute to the highest standards by giving them responsibility and direct accountability for their projects. I have extensive experience managing both remote and in house development teams. 

 

Technically I have lead analysis, architecture, development and project management of enterprise level .NET (C#), Coldfusion, PHP, SQL Server, MySQL, Drupal, Wordpress, Microsoft CMS and Microsoft SharePoint for the desktop, tablet/mobile and web services; on both Windows and various flavours of Linux. 

 

My varied technical background and real world experience as a technologist, board member and business owner allows me to coordinate the development of systems and applications that deliver real business value. I have strong client facing skills and am confident operating in a sales and consulting environment.
